This week's message focused on the things we want versus the things we do. Consider these questions.
1. Do you know your triggers that make you angry? What are they?
2. What is one piece of advice you have given to someone that you need to practice yourself?
3. Pastor Steve asks, “What if your reactions are actually invitations? What if the irritation, the defensiveness, the withdrawing, isn’t just a reaction but a revelation?”
4. Have you practiced the Prayer of Examen before? If yes, did it help you process the day instead of blaming yourself? If no, how do you feel about starting to use the Prayer of Examen as a healing tool?
5. Slowly pray Psalm 139 over yourself and each other. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
