This week's message focused on telling the difference on actually doing what calls us to, and not just keeping up appearances. Consider these questions.

1. Matthew chapter 6 asks us to examine why Jesus said giving, praying and fasting are to be done in private. What does that say about the relationship God wants to have with you? What does it say about the relationship God wants you to have with your community?

2. Pastor Becky asks us to consider moving past spiritual activity and into spiritual honesty. How would you describe spiritual activity vs spiritual honesty? Does this affect any spiritual practices you may be doing?

3. Discuss the differences between how you pray vs the structure of the Lord’s Prayer (1st focus on God, 2nd focus on you)?

4. Do you feel like the Sermon on the Mount is a to-do list (spiritual behaviors) or “an invitation into a new way of being”? Explain your answers.
