SUPPORTING A FOSTER FAMILY

We are partnering with Pleasanton Unified School District this year to provide Christmas gifts to some of the kids they serve in Foster Care. Some are foster families and some are kinship, where family members (primarily grandparents) have taken in kids because of need. There is desire for some anonymity here for the students, so this will look a bit like purchasing a gift that is requested ($50 range) and then dropping it off, wrapped, here at the church by December 14th for the families.

If you would like to provide a Christmas gift to one of these kids, sign up below to select a child. The generic information will be shared as well as an item or two requested. The expectation is to spend approx. $50 on each child. Some children will be listed as a family and some families will have additional needs (i.e. blankets, food, etc. that can be provided on top of the Christmas gift).

All families must be selected by Wednesday, Dec 10th.

ADOPTING A FAMILY IN NEED

Christmas can be a lonely and difficult time for so many. As we know the incredible hope we have in Jesus, there is opportunity to walk with families/people during this time to show and demonstrate Jesus' love in very tangible ways.

Adopting a family for Christmas is an opportunity to get to know them and to help provide gifts and support to them specifically around the Christmas holiday. This can be gifts for each family member, but can also include groceries, Christmas dinner (together!), stocking stuffers, gingerbread house kit and other family activities. It's an opportunity to demonstrate God's love in a very tangible way and open a door to relationship as well. We have asked families to share one item needed and one item wanted per person. Your level of engagement with these families is up to you.

Adopt a Family as a family unit, as a community group, as a group from work, as neighbors, or as an individual!

All families must be adopted by Wednesday, Dec 10th.
All gifts must be delivered to families by Sunday, Dec 14th.

CHRISTMAS STOCKING STUFFERS FOR OUR FRIDAY COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Every Friday morning, we put on a community outreach primarily for folks that are unsheltered. While we cannot get individual gifts for each person, we do want to provide a fun stocking with gifts and just fun things to be a blessing. Help us communicate to each person that they are seen and loved and celebrated this Christmas. We have put together an Amazon wish list full of fun items to bless them with this Christmas!

All items must be purchased by Dec 14th so we have time to put them together! Please utilize this as a wish list and select the shipping address as Kim Kennedy Gift Registry Address so items are delivered directly to the church.
