About the Event
Our 5th annual CF Livermore SERVE DAY has transitioned to a SERVE WEEKEND with opportunities to serve on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th! Instead of gathering inside as a congregation, we are GOING OUT together, to SERVE our community in very tangible ways. We have partnered with local organizations, with local schools, the City of Livermore, etc. to be expressions of God's love and meet needs in our community. It is an awesome weekend and it always encourages me how much our community responds with gratitude, so very blessed by our church when we demonstrate the hands and feet of Jesus in this way! There is a lot happening and different days to get involved - see all the details below and sign up! Please feel welcome to invite friends, neighbors, family - it's such a fun day of serving together!
BACK TO SCHOOL CLOTHING GIVEAWAY
Through a series of clothing donations, we will be setting up tables of new or gently used clothing for students of all ages to come and pick up clothes for the new school year. This will include shoes, clothes and backpacks.

THE MARILYN PROJECT
We are partnering with the City of Livermore to chop down and clear out overgrown yard debris, weeds, etc. that has become a fire hazard and tremendous eye sore across from Marilyn Elementary.

TEACHER APPRECIATION BAGS
We will be putting together fun appreciation bags for Teachers, Staff and Administration for high schools in Livermore. Our goal is to fill 300 bags

KIDS AGAINST HUNGER
Kids Against Hunger Bay Area is a non-profit organization that seeks to end starvation and malnutrition diseases. They need volunteers to help package and ship highly nutritious, life-saving meals to these kids in developing countries and the United States. We will be packing food in an assembly like fashion. PACKING SHOEBOXES OF GIFTS FOR KIDS IN OTHER COUNTRIES
One of our own, Marina, collects items every year to pack near 500 shoeboxes. These are filled with education items, hygiene items and toys as well. These boxes are sent to kids in other countries living in poverty. It's an incredible gift for these kids and a beautiful expression of God's love as they receive them. Help us pack all her supplies and fill 500 (or more) shoeboxes!!

SERVING WITH TRACY INTERFAITH MINISTRIES
Tracy Interfaith Ministries is a non-profit organization that exists to provide groceries and clothing to families and individuals in need. We will be partnering with their team and serving in a variety of capacities on Saturday morning. Fore more information on check out their website: https://tracyinterfaith.org/

YARDWORK AT WALNUT GROVE ELEMENTARY
We are partnering with Walnut Grove Elementary in Pleasanton to pull weeds and do a campus wide clearing of overgrown greenery so they start of their school year with the campus looking fresh and ready.

CF KIDS PROJECTS
We will be accomplishing a variety of tasks and needs for our CF Kids Program! Hanging curtains, clearing landscape, installing wall programs, painting, etc. Join us for a fun workday that will impact our kids programs and the rooms they meet in!
