About the Event
LivermoreChildcareLivermore
We are offering a support group for parents that have or are currently fostering or have adopted kids. We meet every month on the SECOND Sunday of the month for some food, fellowship, support and some equipping/training (applicable to foster training requirements). There are unique challenges for fostering and adoption. Let's walk through those challenges together and support one another along the way.
Next meeting: Sunday, April 13th, 5:00pm-7:00pm @ Cornerstone Fellowship (348 N. Canyons Pkwy, Livermore)
Topic: Ever Feel like the Worst Foster Parent in the World? This is for you. Content and Discussion brought by "A Fostered Life". Foster parents are flawed human beings trying to do a good thing. Like everyone, we have our good days and our bad days. But often times, the stakes feel higher when we have bad days. When we are short-tempered, impatient, or careless with our words, guilt often follows. How do we pick up the pieces and move ahead when we have failed our kids in some way? We will watch and discuss four suggestions for moving past the guilt and even making something good out of our ugly moments.
This group is open to the community, so please spread the word. Sign up is required so we can plan accordingly and care for the children well during the time of training.
