What can you expect in C|F Middle School Ministry?
Sundays: Middle School Ministry gathers on Sundays at 9 am. This is a great space for middle schoolers to be welcomed by leaders who love Jesus and desire to build community with our students. Throughout 2022, students will learn how to live out their faith, how to read the Bible, and participate in large group discussions. For our kinesthetic learners, students will be invited to join us in hands-on activities that will develop their understanding of who Jesus is and how to live for Him.
Wednesdays: On Wednesdays, we offer small groups during 3 different sessions throughout the year. Your student can anticipate meeting their leader, sharing a meal or snack with their community, group games and activities, weekly biblical teaching, small group discussion, and the opportunity to develop mission-mindedness. Register here
Serving: A key aspect of being a part of our middle school community is serving. We serve others to show love and to practice having a servant’s heart. In 1 John 4:19, we read “we love because he first loved us.” In Matthew 20:26-28, we learn “...instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” It is the hope of the middle school leaders and pastor that students would first desire to serve others simply because Christ served us.

Camps: Students can anticipate 3 different camp experiences; Fall (Oct or Nov), Winter (Jan or Feb), and Summer (June or July). We often will have moments in our lives where we need to get away from the distractions and monotony of our day to be with Jesus, to remove distractions, and to be with our community for extended periods of time. This is where our retreats come into our ministry. Jesus often “...went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” (Luke 6:12) As we seek to be more like Him, we too will retreat to a place with our students to draw nearer to Him.

Middle School Summer Camp: June 20th-23rd
Post Camp Update After breakfast each morning we gathered together for Church Time. We played games, sang songs, and listened to 5 different sermons during the week. Our camp theme was Step By Step. This series was designed to help students learn about the way God’s Spirit can work to transform them into the character of Jesus. After Church Time, our students headed out for solo devotional time with Jesus. Then, they met with their small groups to discuss more about how we can see the Holy Spirit in ourselves, others, and the world around us.
After groups, our students headed to Rec time for some crazy team games. Your students was placed on 1 of 3 teams, the Pink Hog Riders, the Green Beans, or the Orange Chi-Winnies (also know as Orange Cows). After games like Giant T-Shirt Soccer, 3 Way Tug-O-War, Inter-tube Gladiators, and McDonald's Ball Retrieving, we headed to lunch. Your student then was excused to free time where they could hang out in our Recreation room filled with pool and ping-pong tables, play a game of sand volleyball, swim in the pool, or play a quick game of basketball at the courts.
For our afternoon activities your student participated in the Gecko Glider, a large zip line, Compound Bows at the archery range, the Vertical Playpen, a series of cargo nets, tires, and beams reaching into the treetops, and Archery Tag, think archery and dodgeball combined.
After afternoon activities we gathered for dinner, evening church time, and then, each night ended around the fire pit. We'd pull out the guitar, roast some s'mores, share about our day, and then head to bed.
