Equipped to Care

Equipped to Care (formerly Lay Counseling Education) is a 10-week course that takes you through the journey of interpersonal growth. If you are interested in doing one-on-one ministry, facilitating a group, or being a lay counselor, this is the class for you!

Our courses will be taught by Cornerstone Pastors, Licensed Marriage Family Therapists, and an Addiction Counselor.

The topics that will be covered:
Listening and Responding
Anger and Emotions
Forgiveness
Grief and Loss
The Importance of Boundaries
Relationships and Attachments
Family of Origin
Couples in Conflict
Addictions and Co-Dependency
Understanding Anxiety and Depression

Expectations of the class: Please do not miss more than 2 classes. Homework and reading will be assigned.

Livermore

Tuesdays, January 15 – March 19 • 7-9pm
$85 to cover the cost for books, materials, and speakers

Brentwood

6641 Lone Tree Way • Meets in the Equipping Room
Thursdays, January 24 – March 28 • 7-9pm
$85 to cover the cost for books, materials, and speakers

Walnut Creek

390 North Wiget Lane Ste 130 • Meets at the Ministry Center
Saturdays, January 19 – March 23 • 10am -12 pm
$85 to cover the cost for books, materials, and speakers

*Please note that Livermore will be the only campus with weekly live speakers. The other campuses will consist of video teaching with an occasional live speaker.
