Steve Madsen is the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Fellowship. Steve went to Bethany University, Fuller Seminary, and New College Berkeley. He has been in vocational ministry since 1979. Cornerstone began in 1992 as a home Bible study at the Madsen’s. Steve is best known for his straightforward method of Biblical teaching which combines truth, humor and practical application. Steve lives in Livermore with his wife Brenda. They have three sons and 2 daughters-in-laws: Tyler, Andy, & Sarah, Kevin, & Trisha, and their grandson Gideon.
Scott Haus joined the staff of Cornerstone Fellowship in 1997 as an Associate Pastor and Lead Worship Pastor. Today, Scott leads the Executive Team in Worship and Communications. He currently gives pastoral oversight for the audio and video production teams, media department, weekend services, and all church events. Scott’s passion is facilitating worship in the life of our church. He and his wife Jennifer have three children, Christian, Savannah, and Raegan.
Mark Calcagno serves on the Executive Team of Cornerstone Fellowship in charge of Care Ministries. In this role he serves both the Congregation and the Church Staff. Mark has been part of the Cornerstone Ministry Team since 1996. He is passionate about developing leaders, training pastors and providing Care for those in need. Mark’s ministry development has been shaped by graduating with a BA in Biology from UC Davis, Graduating from Bay Cities Bible Institute, participating in MDiv studies at Fuller Seminary and from being in full time ministry since 1981. He and his wife LeeAnn have been married for 28 years and have been blessed with three children, Angela, Nicole, and Matthew.
John Gilpin has been on staff at Cornerstone since 2004 and he currently serves as the Executive Team Leader. John’s role involves overseeing Cornerstone’s operations and assuring good stewardship of all the resources God has blessed Cornerstone with. John earned his MBA at UCLA and for 20 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as CFO before retiring in 2004. John has always served in local church leadership. He has a passion for men’s ministry and LifeGroups. John and his wife Gail have lived in Pleasanton for 28 years near their daughter Laura’s family and their two grandchildren.
Josh Hall’s goal as he leads the Executive Team in our Community team is to see every member of Cornerstone connected in a transformational group. Josh has been part of Cornerstone’s staff since 2009. He passionately describes Life Groups as communities of believers who share life together, growing more Christ-like through the fellowship and bonds developed in a smaller group. He also gives leadership to the many classes and Adult Mid-Size groups here at Cornerstone. Josh and his wife Kelly are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Aidan and Zoey.
Collin Lucas serves on the Executive Team and oversees Cornerstone’s Operations directly overseeing the Finance, HR, IT and Facility departments. Collin has a heart for the church living up to its fullest redemptive potential. God has chosen the church to be His instrument for bringing people into relationship with Him and Collin’s desire is to help the church function as well as it possibly can. Collin works strategically to improve Cornerstone’s organizational effectiveness. His implementation of systems and process has enhanced the overall effectiveness of Cornerstone’s ministry. Prior to working at Cornerstone, Collin was an I.T. manager and management consultant with experience in Organization Development, Product Development and Project Management. Collin and his wife Denise have 4 children, Jonathan, Megan, Jack and Katie.
Chris Stockhaus joined Cornerstone in 2009 after several years in the cloud computing industry. Chris brings a passion for helping believers activate their faith and find their unique calling so we can continue to build the Kingdom of God both locally and globally. He is our Executive Team member overseeing Missions, Volunteers/Serving and the Assimilation of people into the life of our church. Chris is a graduate of San Jose State University, he and his wife Shauna have two boys, Isaiah and Kente.
Christiaan VandenHeuvel joined Cornerstone Fellowship in 2001. A native of The Netherlands, Christiaan and his wife Kristina have three children, Mariana, Jack and Eliana. Currently, Christiaan serves as the person heading up our Multisite Vision for Cornerstone. His role in Campus Development is focused on aligning all three campuses and developing additional locations.
